About Injury Lawyer of Atlanta

Boyd B. Newton’s practice focuses on plaintiff’s personal injury including wrongful death, trucking accidents, automobile collisions, premises liability, medical malpractice, products liability, and general tort law. He represents victims of serious accidents throughout the State of Georgia.

Mr. Newton spent the first 10 years of his legal career defending insurance companies in personal injury lawsuits. During that time, he represented State Farm, Allstate, Progressive, Liberty Mutual, Grange, MAG Mutual Insurance Company, and CNA.  As a result, Mr. Newton gained an intimate working knowledge of the insurance industry’s defense strategies. Mr. Newton now uses this knowledge to help his injured clients obtain just compensation from the same insurance companies he used to represent.

Mr. Newton is a native of Atlanta. He graduated from the Westminster Schools in 1989. He attended college at the University of Richmond where he graduated in 1993. Mr. Newton then gained admission to the University of Georgia School of Law and graduated in 1997.

After graduating from law school, Boyd Newton began his legal career in south Georgia where his practice focused on defending automobile accidents and premises liability lawsuits. Mr. Newton moved back to Atlanta in 1999 when he took a position at a large downtown Atlanta insurance defense law firm. While still defending automobile and premises liability cases, Mr. Newton’s practice expanded into Common Carrier (trucking) defense and medical malpractice defense.  In 2005, Mr. Newton was named partner at the insurance defense law firm. In 2006, Boyd Newton was recognized as a “Rising Star” by his peers in the Atlanta legal community.

In 2007 Mr. Newton started his own law firm and began focusing his practice on helping individuals who have been injured by the negligent or intentional acts of others. After working for insurance companies for 10 years, Mr. Newton does not, and will not, represent insurance companies any longer.
